Christmas Events 2009

19 oct, Sat.

went to town with the poly friends I usually hang out with. These are the group of people that never fails to ask me out for lunch in school everyday. Thanks for the lunching time peeps, really treasure those times that we share, and those countless encouragements that you guys gave me, to spur me on whenever I feel so tired especially this semester since it's a five day week for me, and I havent skipped a lesson till now, praise the Lord for supplying me strength.

So what we did on that day?

we even took neoprints in a group of 6, some of the different neoprints are with the rest of the group.



We were walking and walking till our legs got so tired, and we wanted to settle down for dinner, but 313 somerset had some shops still not opened, and we had to walk to orchard central and settled for ajisen fried rice for the 4 of us and 2 had ramen. We ended the day by walking to dhoby ghaut mrt and trained back. but on the way there, we saw some "weird" people who were walking to dhoby ghaut for some performance. and Donald actually took pictures of them. Lol.

20th dec, Sunday

had BBQ party for christmas at my aunt's bungalow.

and we played games.
this is one of the games we played whereby both partners is blindfolded and has to feed the banana into the person's mouth within the shortest time possible. It was frigging funny.


and cousin Nikki dropped the banana when she was supposed to stuffed it all into cousin Andrea's mouth.

we also played other games like folding and standing on newspapers and the newspapers have to be folded into 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 and so on till the two people who can stand the longest wins a magazine worth $10! and also guessing game in which the person who is suppose to describe the word to you without using words in association and the team who lost are suppose to finish up the food, and my team lost by a mark. it was so close!~ we also used skype to communicate with my cousin who is overseas with her husband and is pregnant! 4 months I think, congrats cousin Xiuxiu.

24th dec, Thursday

had a BBQ party cum gathering at mentor's Julian place. A time to celebrate christmas with the NDP peeps! Havent seen them for so long because I havent been attending the post NDP program as Im quite tied up in school.

25th dec, Friday

went to Trinity for service and thank God for that. I had a good time in the service and I love the songs they sang.

Also want to appreciate Yin Fong and Shannon for coming down.
Thanks Yin Fong for coming down despite having to be late for work.
Thanks Shannon for making your way down despite getting home at only 4am and I know you're super lethargic, but thanks, really appreciate you guys for making time for this. =) and because of her being so exhausted, she gave me the wrong christmas pressie, Lol. gonna meet her next wednesday for Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 movie and needa exchange the gift.

Whats Christmas to you? To me its..

- the celebration of the birth of Jesus, my Saviour.
- Memories that has been shared between me and friends, with the appreciation of what they have done in my life.
- Going through memories, whether is it bad or good, to reminise some of them and learn from bad mistakes and not repeat them and if they are good memories, it will be planted in my heart and how I could improve on the good memories that I've given my friends.
- It is also a time of giving, sharing and appreciating people that has caused an impact in my life.

I will be going to Genting next thurs for countdown, first time counting down in another country. will only be back on the 3rd of Jan.

2 more and its holidays!

I'll be having my medical technology and pharmacology tests next week, one after the other. Hoping to score As for both UTs. Have been staying back and revising pharmacology with Jeremy, my mentor for certain modules. I told him if I can get A surely will treat him with drinks. Really thank him for staying back with me and answering my queries. He really can make me understand better compared to my facilitator in that module. She speaks so soft, expecting everybody's ears to catch every soft spoken word she says, torturing us! =(

Will be quite busy with several outings with friends during the mid dec holidays. Hope all of us will have fun and make full good use with the holis! Saw the NDP motivators yesterday, so sorry, cant join you guys as I have a dinner outing with my family, see you guys on the 18th!

Christmas is coming. And I want to attend christmas service in Trinity. Hopefully I can go!

My friend brought his dslr to school yesterday and I saw his many pictures taken with his dslr, so pretty. Lol.

My little nephew is coming over later to celebrate his birthday, and I wanna say sorry to my brother for offending him a little in the car whilst on the way to dinner, hope you don't blame me. apologies..

went to sitex fair yesterday and mum bought a printer for us! Its Canon Pixma MP568!
Yipee. Can print photos at home. coolsome!! =)
and also a new home phone from panasonic.
Panasonic gadgets can last so so so long..
my previous home phone which we are using for a long time(think 6-7 years is still working), but gonna break down soon and hence she bought a new phone, which is the same model, haha, we are total fans of panasonic!

2 more weeks and its holidays!!

a short update.

I'm having my UTs these 3 weeks and I'm done with 3 of them. 2 more to go. Really praying hard that genetics UT will be manageable. I had 3 UTs in a week and I kept complaining to my mum that I was really tired after school. RP works on a basis that you have to be in school the whole day. Like 915am-4pm. So normally when I get back, it's already 5pm. I hope this semester will end soon. 5modules=5days a week in school and it's really hectic.

Genting Trip has already been confirmed. I know my friends who are reading this will be saying, "huh? again!!?" but I had no choice but to go as there's free lodging and mum doesn't allow me to stay in Singapore alone. Will be heading there on new year's eve. Heard that there will be 15 minutes of fireworks when counting down to new year. Hmmm. Sounds great. Another thing is, I have to go there and study for 2 of my UTs which falls on the 4th and 5th of Jan. I will only be back on 3rd Jan. I will plan my time well when I'm there.

Dad's birthday on wed. 4th nov. As usual. Dinner's out. Thai food's great! and at a affordable rate too. $48 for 5pax. It depends on what you order. These are some that we ordered. And it was sis who treated us for this meal. My turn next!! lol.

the little details that makes me smile.

I remembered telling you guys in my older post that I enjoy having chocolates. And not just the normal chocolates, but GODIVA's. I heard from my friend that it's kinda expensive. And if you know me well enough, I won't spend so much on food. My aunt knows that I love chocolates and she always brings GODIVA's chocolates to me. Thanks to her for that. =)

btw, mum just came back from Hapchai not too long ago and she got me some cosmetics and skin products! I love the smell.. Its from Oriental Princess and it works tremendously well.
I applied the acne gel as I was having a few zits here and there and awhile later, the zits got smaller. coolsome!

I particularly like this:

a blusher that is so easy to apply on.

the wallet that Yin Fong got me during my last birthday cannot "tolerate" any longer. The yellow peelings all coming off and I can't stand the sight of them. And so, I went to hunt for a wallet together with Shannon last saturday and I got myself this:

and other than the wallet, we went to rubi located at citylink and both of us got a pair of identical shoes for $25. its so affordable and comfy! will buy pumps from there in the future!
so hard to find comfy pumps but rubi gives us alot of choices to choose from! I like! =)

I hate the feeling..

of being picked at. And feeling remorse after that. Why am I feeling this way after my team's presentation today? I'm not blaming anyone, not my team members, not the facilitator.
It's just not my day.



I hate this feeling, please go away.

what I've been up to..

School has since started and I'm into my first week. Everything seems fine, just different classmates everyday but I thought it would be better this way. Making more friends and getting to know people better sounds good too. And not the usual 4 day week for me, but 5 days. 5 modules. I love genetics though it's my elective!


Had 2 birthday celebrations this week. Firstly was mum's whose birthday falls on 7oct. We had a simple dinner at 金隆 located at bedok. We wanted to go to blk84 but it was under renovation, so we went to the other side and was hoping 天外天 had opened but it didnt. It was quite dampening of the mood and 金隆's food was just so-so. We always had discounts at 天外天 as my mum knows the owner.. and their food is so much better than 金隆's. I bought mum a cake! sweet secrets.




The next birthday celebration is Yin Fong's, whose birthday falls on the same day as my mum's. I couldnt have dinner with her on the actual day itself as it happens to be my mum's so I had dinner with her the next day instead. Together with Jessica and 2 NDP peeps, we had dinner at the Pepper Lunch, my first time there and it gave me a good impression. Didnt bring my camera along! Ah.. so no pictures!


Just finished packing all the bomber jackets and had them mailed yesterday. Hope the gals love it as much as I do(although I didnt get it).


Mum just went to Hapchai(thailand) on friday morning and I'm still waiting for her to come back. Hope there will be alot of goodies later. I wanna go BKK! Hope mum will plan it to go together with my paternal side of the family. She has been talking about it. End of the year perhaps?
